My fiance and I have been staying here for some time and wanted to take a moment to recognize the people that have made our stay(s) truly wonderful. We use to stay next door at the FB until we got tired of the pompous attitudes and below par service. On October 4th 2018, after being involved in a car accident on our way there, we went to check in and met Ivana who at the time was the nighttime manager. She did such an incredible job making us feel welcome and provided us nothing short of outstanding service that we have never even considered staying anywhere else. The rooms here are very comfortable and well appointed. Service is outstanding and the staff is eager to assist.
Our most recent stay in January was so enjoyable we actually ended up staying an extra day, we simply could not leave. I absolutely recommend Eden Roc to anyone that asks, this is our home away from home! We love coming to Miami and recently stayed at Nobu Eden Roc and had the best time!
Our room had an amazing balcony and ocean views and it was quiet at night (never would’ve happened if we stayed on south beach!) Note the sun does rise into the ocean facing rooms (we fell asleep with our shades open the first night) so it will wake you up early! No sweat, we remembered to close at night for the rest of the stay and the shades did a perfect job of keeping the sun out. My husband can attest because he’s such a light sleeper - We loved that there were multiple pools and attendants to help set up our towels and umbrella (maybe it was user error but the umbrella seemed like I needed a professional lol). I had fish tacos there that were super yummy (had to ask for more sauce though) and my husband got that logo awesome coconut drink (yes I took a picture with it for Instagram haha #Miami) We ate at all of the restaurants and they were so good my husband had to coax me off property once to see other spots - I never wanted to leave! You have to have the avocado pizza at Malibu Farm (and ask for a table with a view when you make your reservation) and the Rock Shrimp at Nobu!
The menu options on property, I will say, are on the healthy side (make of that what you will. I know some people love greasy fast food options). Personally I really enjoyed fresh juice options, light snacks by the pool and super fresh sushi.
It was a nice turn of pace to be in a place that really promotes wellness and had lots of options for health-conscious people. I hate needing a diet and a vacation when I get BACK from vacation! Speaking of wellness, the spa was my favorite that I’ve been to in Miami. No one at check-in was pretentious (does anyone else feel like that sometimes in Miami?) and the facilities were clean and relaxing. I had the hydra facial and my skin was glowing -which is great because long flights can be a drag.
At check out, I was talking to a nice manager at the front desk about when the best time to come back is (like Miami is ever a bad idea!) and he gave such great insight into their seasons, which impressed me (forgive me I don’t remember his name but I know he’s from Chicago because he spoke with my husband about loving the Cubs!) Now that I know the Super Bowl is in Miami in February (same as my birthday!).I am hoping that we can come back soon for a big party:). I stayed at Eden Roc 3/17 to 3/20. Unfortunately during that time a curfew was put into effect and all bars, restaurants and nite clubs were shutting down. I will say the hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff were great. Now, with that being said, I had sum items stolen from the trunk of my rental car. My car was parked in the hotel's garage and you have to send a text to the valet to retrieve it. They charge $50 per day (which is insane) to park on their grounds.
Anyhoo, when I went to return my car at the airport, I noticed sum items were missing from the trunk (my spare phone charger, a small wallet with sum change and more importantly a respirator mask).why in the hell would the valet at Eden Roc go into the trunk of my car in the first place?? Oh well.never again will I stay here. Even tho the items that were taken were small, it goes against the integrity of their workers.
